Sol's RNG Beginner Guide: Rolling, Rarity and Your First Real Aura

Sol’s RNG has exactly one button that matters — Roll — and an entire economy built around making that button hit harder. This guide covers the loop that turns aimless rolling into a collection strategy.

The core loop

Every roll draws an aura from a pool of 468, weighted by rarity. Common auras land at 1 in 2; the rarest base-roll aura in the game, Equinox, sits at 1 in 2.5 billion. Between those extremes is the whole game: roll, collect, craft gear from duplicate auras, drink potions to multiply your luck, and wait for the right biome to slash the odds on your target.

Three systems move your odds:

  1. Luck potions — multiply your effective drop rate. Stack them; they are the only lever you control directly. See the potions & luck guide.
  2. Biomes — periodic world states that give matching auras a “native rate”, usually 2-5× better than base. How biomes work.
  3. Codes — free potion chests, no grinding required. Current working list.

Rarity tiers, in one paragraph

Basic → Epic → Unique → Legendary → Mythic → Exalted → Glorious → Transcendent is the rollable ladder (Event and Dev-Exclusive auras sit outside it). Everything through Legendary arrives on its own; Mythic (1-in-millions) is where deliberate chasing starts; Glorious (hundreds of millions) demands biome windows; Transcendent (billions) is endgame. The rarity tier list breaks down every tier with examples.

Your first deliberate chase

Pick a Mythic with a steep biome discount — Galaxy (5× better in Singularity) or Hades (6× better in Hell) are the classic first targets. Save every potion until the biome hits, then spend the whole window rolling. That habit — hoard, wait, burst — is the single biggest efficiency gain in the game.
